Prof. Dr. Tobias Welte, DZL Director for the Hannover site (BREATH), is pleased to host the Presidential Summit 2019 of the European Respiratory Society (ERS). As the new ERS president, he has taken on this task for the first time. The summit deals with the topic:

"The future of research in respiratory medicine - unmet needs and how to address them"

DZL director for Munich site (CPC-M), Prof. Dr. Erika von Mutius will talk about "Pediatric Diseases". Greetings come from the Minister of Science and Education of Lower Saxony, Björn Thümler, DZL President Werner Seeger and, of course, host Prof. Welte.

The Summit will take place on the 5th and 6th of June at Schloss Herrenhausen in Hannover. All DZL members are cordially invited, for them the participation is free of charge. But do not wait too long, the seats are limited and the registration deadline is already 16 May!

The sessions will focus on current research results in the clinical pictures of asthma, interstitial lung disease, COPD or pulmonary vascular disease, but also on data management and big data analysis or on „how to address the unmet needs by research funding“.

The program can be found here.
