Exact imaging plays a crucial role in state-of-the-art basic research and medicine for research projects, diagnoses of diseases or treatment of patients. For these purposes, scientists and physicians benefit from technical developments in their respective fields for the accurate and high-resolved imaging of biological processes in cells, organs and organisms.
An overview as well as practical introductions with the respective devices and procedures will be offered by the DZL Platform Imaging Workshop on October 23rd and 24th at the CPC-M in Munich-Großhadern. The organizing team around DZL-PIs Prof. Julien Dinkel and Dr. Gerald Burgstaller has put together a highly exciting program:
Lectures cover, amongst other topics, intravital microscopy in living organisms, MicroCT images in pulmonary hypertension or three-dimensional images of the distribution of nanoparticles in murine lungs. On the second day the participants will dig deeper into specialized imaging procedures and devices in hands-on workshops which deal with Artificial Intelligence in Radiology, or cutting-edge 4D Light Sheet Microscopy, including Virtual Reality applications.
